DUSC Supports Redevelopment of Pier 40 to allow more Sports Fields

We need more sports fields for health of the community.

Pier 40 was a stalwart for my daughter's formative years. We need to retain and expand existing playing fields for our children, and children's children.

Additional space for sports fields will never be left fallow which is a great indicator of the immense unserved need and demand. Thank you.

Fields are required for future expansion of NYC, otherwise we succumb to cruddy city living as everyone scrambled for field space.

Redevelopment of Pier 40 with additional sports fields is essential for the Manhattan community

Please dedicate 66% of the Pier 40 footprint to sports fields.

Our kids desperately need more sports facilities and ones that are support major sports programs. Pier 40 will attract users for the good of the community, as businesses prosper. Please fund these much needed improvements and redevelop a cherished space!

Children need to be taught at an early age the importance of sports For health and social reasons and we need the space to teach them those lessons.

I don't object to some commercial development in Pier 40 as long as the vast majority of the space is dedicated to fields and other spaces - both indoors and outdoors - where downtown residents - specially kids - can practice sports and lead a healthy life in all seasons.
