if you need to add office space - fine - but give us better fields more fields and fields that are more resilient to the extremes of weather PLEASE!

For me and my son coming over from Europe some three years ago the soccer pitches on pier 40 have been the best introduction to New York City life imaginable. We would very much like to see them sustained and extended to cater for the growing public interest of the sport in the USA. Many thanks for your consideration !

Our ask is not for a vanity nice-to-have Park, but for an investment in our kids’ future to build world class athletes while living in this great city. Please work with us for building a much-needed and critical fields infrastructure in downtown. Thank you.

Pier 40 should be the hub for sport, arts and recreational for our youth and community. The discussions should only be about adding to this integral facility.

The importance of sports fields at Pier 40 are too numerous to mention here and the overall health and well being of both our children and adults are in jeopardy without it.
