DUSC Supports Redevelopment of Pier 40 to allow more Sports Fields

We need these fields for our children to have a place to play different sports. NYC has a shortage of soccer fields.

We need soccer fields in Manhattan. The downtown area has exploded with young families with children in the last decade, and if anything, we need more not less sport fields.

I support amending the HRP Act to allow for commercial development if 66% of Pier 40 is dedicated to sports fields.

NYC needs more sports fields for the kids, especially in the downtown area and Pier 40 is the perfect local field for these sports. It should remain available as a sports field and even develop into more of a complex.
