This makes no sense. If the resident sticker is paid for, why are they ticketing people for just walking to school? My son parks for me all the time when I work and this is getting ridiculous.

We already pay enough between the sticker and daily fee. If a student is using the car for a parent commuter, that should be fine. Ticketing them is just wrong.

So residents pay the daily fee and still get hit with an $85 ticket? Come on. The whole point of the lot is for residents, not just whoever they decide looks okay that day.

I commute on the LIRR and often by the time I get to the Manhasset train station the lot is full. I have to take a cab to the train station. My daughter leaves earlier than me so she parks at the train station and walks to school. Then when I get off the train I pick up the car. Hence the use of my parking spot is for my commute! Regardless, we are entitled to two spots and we pay for them in our taxes and we pay the daily rate.

Why is it penalized if my child and I are sharing a car and my child parks a car for me at the train station and then goes to school? We should minimize the out-of-town parking spots to the pre-pandemic levels and let cars with resident parking stickers park at the train station.
