We need this program!

I recall, as a small child the opening ceremony when the facility, Dr. Martin L. King, Jr. hospital opened in South-Central Los Angeles. Many opportunities, as well as continuing education was available. Also at this time, the surrounding community saw an increase in the number of minority nursing graduates from different schools. If we are to continue with this vision for all communities, then it is vital that LACCD embrace the vision as others have and provide a state of the art facility for training current and future nursing students.

They need adequate facilities...Come on!

Nurses heal and help us all. Please keep this program open.

Education has always been a priority of mine and funding efforts to maximize the quality of education at any level should be the goal of every of every society.

Construct the building. It is long overdue. Keep education enraptured education ahead of disease and illness.

Do your jobs and serve the communities who voted you in!!

Keep the program open . Hold school leaders accountable for the facilities dont punish students and the community

It is imperative that all current established community nursing schools prevail to both support the needs of the community it supports by offering this opportunity, and to offset the nursing shortage coming due to baby boomers retiring. The need for more nurses is already evident by the large number of foreign nurses the state and county bring in each year.

I am a current ICU nurse who received her nursing degree here. There is a great need for tihis program In the community, gives the people opportunity.

I join my voice with the passes to say that the nursing program and many others in Los Angeles should be funded by the government. Thank you

The Board of Trustees should assume its responsibilities towards LA Southwest College's students and stop treating them like second class citizens. It is well documented that the Board of Trustees does not have the best interests of LASC students at heart, otherwise it would have acted on the issues that affect them the most a long time ago. The Board of Trustees should honor its commitment to LASC's students and approve permanent facilities for the nursing program. It is unconscionable that plans for permanent facilities for nursing have been in the books for more than a decade but have never progressed beyond the planning stages. I urge the Board of Trustees to do the right thing for LASC students and the community that it serves.
