The Nursing Dept at LASC continues to create qualified and well-rounded Nurses, year after year, even with inadequate facilities. Imagine what they could do with state-of-the-art buildings and equipment. The could share the statewide top 10 spot with LA Harbor College.

As an almuni of the LASC Nursing program graduate of the school, and working Registered Nurse I can say that the LASC Nursing program is a vital program that is giving community members opportunities to achieve upward mobility, financial independence, and healthcare service to their communities. There are hundreds of LASC graduate RN’s providing excellent patient care to a vast number of patients throught the healthcare spectrum. ER, Medical Surgical, Acute cafe hospitals, Operating Rooms, Intensive Care Untis, Public Health, Labor and Delivery, are just a handful of the many areas that we are providing life saving services to the ill and in need. This is thanks to LASC’s ADN Nursing Program. We strive for excellence and we deserve more!!!!

This is a no-brainer. It's already difficult to get into nursing school, even for those who are well-qualified. Build it right and they will swarm.

I absolutely agree with the statement in the petition. The district should support the Nursing program at LASC with appropriate facilities.

I enrolled at this college to take the nursing program since it was affordable and close to home and now that its being threatened, ill have no other option than to enroll in a private school that will coast me even more money. If the problem is a new building well look no further their is a new building being erected as i type this. I ask that you give it to us the nursing students the building. It will be a smart long term investment on your behalf.

Save the nursing program and provide a viable career path for the residents of this community! The average waitlist for ASN programs is nearly three years at most community colleges. Our students need options!
