On March 28th and 29th, the unionized IC contingent faculty will be holding a strike in response to a fruitless 18 months of negotiations with administration. Administration has consistently refused to acknowledge the needs of our contingent faculty (read: 40% of the faculty on campus) and condemned them to poverty wages, food stamps, and an inability to be the resources their students need.

It is crucial for students and tenured faculty to stand behind the union during this time. It is up to the entire campus community to make clear to administration that we demand better for our professors and our education.
