John Quesnel is a long time islander and works hard. The service he provides is necessary, he has spent so much time and money on environment clean up, yet has to fight daily to keep in business. This is wrong and our voices need to be heard! Leave the man and his families lively hood alone. What happens to all the waste if he goes? Do we then dump it all on the door step of islands trust? Use some common sense folks..

Just where are these suitable pieces of land for John to relocate to?
Also, as John pointed out recently... that residential neighbourhood is in Arsenic Alley! Their land values are already worth crap.

If we don't keep that site where it is well where the scrap metal will go?Most likely in the ditch or at the end of a field or in the backyard of a property for years, so we NEED IT WHERE IT IS AND IT IS ''GOOD THERE''...!!!

the issue here is that we need this business on the island. it is critical. john is a decent man. to lose this business would have an instantaneous effect that no one would be happy with.

This is a great and much needed island business. Two potential options are: 1. SSMR remains where it is currently and affected landholders are also allowed to rezone to industrial/commercial. Given there is already several significant industrial/commercial businesses in the vicinity, this would not be out of character. 2. SSMR is relocated to a parcel with the correct zoning but with financial support from the community.

Considering I live right around the corner where there is constant construction going on dawn to dusk here on Atkins I would rather hear the noise mon -sat than have to deal with the annoying ass neighbour next door to is on Swanson who chooses to burn crap on windy days and cause me to close windows when it's nice out to prevent our HOME filling up with smoke. (I had to wash all of my baby's bedding and clothes- because I left window open when I stepped out.. )
