Please sign this Petition in support of redistricting Option 1A -

Keep the families of Hunters Creek and Chestnut Corners together and allow the children of Hunters Creek to REMAIN at May Whitney Elementary School!

As you may know, there is a redistricting Option 1B that was presented to the community that would involve moving current May Whitney students that reside in Hunters Creek to Sarah Adams. Students of Chestnut Corners are not impacted. We vehemently oppose this change. Rather, we strongly support Option 1A that keeps the students of Hunters Creek and Chestnut Corners together and allows all current students of May Whitney to remain there.

After reviewing the data provided by the Board, redistricting Option 1A is the most appropriate and least disruptive option for the Lake Zurich community. The fewest number of families and children will be impacted.

Importantly, it will keep the tight knit community of families and students within Hunters Creek and Chestnut Corners together by allowing the children of Hunters Creek to remain at May Whitney Elementary School.

This petition is shared with Lake Zurich community members, and notably amongst the residents of Chestnut Corners and Hunters Creek. Thank you for your support!

The momentum behind this petition is undeniable and the School Board cannot keep ignoring us. We have sent a clear message that tearing our neighborhood apart for their convenience is not acceptable.

Hunters Creek and Chestnut Corners are so closely linked and families really work together and help each other with carpooling. It is my hope the two neighborhoods can stay together at May Whitney.

Please do not split this subdivision up. One reason it would be good to keep them together is that they will eventually go to MSS together and if you split them up it makes a smaller group from May Whitney going in, which makes it harder for those to transition in without seeing many familiar faces. Please keep them together.

Our kids have dealt with 2 years of construction in a hot, cramped, hopelessly outdated, arguably unsafe building. The light at the end of the tunnel has always been the promise of the great new school building they'd be in next year. Now the thought that they will be yanked away from the friends they've made, and never get to enjoy the new school we were promised is an absolute outrage. Incoming families with new students should be assigned to more equitably distribute our population, but families should not be forced to move to new schools.

Hunters Creek and Chestnut Corners are realistically the same subdivision. Keep them together and dont make half the students have to walk to a difference school

My kids have made so many friends at May Whitney and splitting us up now would be heartbreaking. Please keep our neighborhood together.
