Join Us In Signing a Petition to show our Support to the Passing of House Bill 7069 for Florida Flex Homeschool Program!!!
YES, I SUPPORT THE FLVS FLEX PROGRAM!!!
The Florida House and Senate passed House Bill 7069 in early May and the final step in order for the bill to become law now rests with Governor Scott. The Governor has been extremely supportive of FLVS and we would like to express our continued support and ask him to pass this House Bill that affects the future of our children.
House Bill (HB) 7069 covers more than 20 education topics, including removing the eligibility requirements for elementary students wishing to take FLVS Flex courses. The bill is pending the Governor’s approval. The Governor has been very supportive of FLVS Flex and included this provision in his proposed budget. Florida Virtual School is a fully accredited, statewide public school district offering more than 150 courses to Kindergarten-12 students. Its certified teachers use a variety of personalized instructional programs to create individualized educational plans for every student. Since 1997, FLVS students have successfully completed more than 3.1 million semester enrollments.
ALL FLVS CURRICULUM MEETS THE FLORIDA STANDARDS AND IS ONLY FUNDED UPON SUCCESSFUL COMPLETION CURRICULUM.
FLVS FLEX:
- Utilizes a flexible learning model and offers a comprehensive elementary curriculum, including Reading, Social Studies, Math, Science, and Technology.
- Elementary-certified FLVS teachers provide your child with age-appropriate instruction while working as a group. Students meet with classmates and his or her teacher online twice a week for Class Time (live video lessons), then work independently (with the support of a parent or guardian) three days a week.
- Recently won the “Innovate to Educate Community Choice Award”.It is so important to let the Governor know that the portion of HB 7069 that removes the eligibility requirements is important and affects so many! Please join us in thanking the Governor for his support and expressing your support of removing the eligibility requirements by signing this petition. Please make this available top all students and help with the Gardiner scholarship. I have the children, the youngest who has Down Syndrome. We are moving yup Florida in July for this. Thank you so much! Krystal
i support the flordia flex homeschool program. when my 5th grader was completely overwhelmed by school and having a breakdown..the flex program allowed me to keep schooling him with me having to actually do the teaching. he finished out the year and ended with all b's.
My child was failing first grade because of several health issues. I pulled her out of school and found the flex program and she's doing a total turn around. She loves it and we have the flexibility to make all her doctors appointments. I beg you to pass the bill!
As a new parent in Florida, The only way right now that my son would be able to attend flex would be if i put him in a brick and mortor school for two years. Please sign this bill so my son can have the same opportunities as his middle school brother~!
FLVS Flex is a key part to school choice in Florida. We need increased access to Flex in the elementary school grades. There are literally thousands of parents who want to be able to use Flex for their children's education, but cannot because of the current restrictions in place. Gov. Scott - please sign the bill!!

Flvs Flex helped my daughter succeed in math when she couldn't in the classroom. Due to her auditory processing issue, she need he quiet of home to process math.
