Florida just passed the bill HB 5101 which cuts funding in half for AP classes, Dual Enrollment, Aice, and IB (international) programs. This will affect all students and teachers since we will have to pay around 100$ per AP test we take, cut funding and bonuses for teachers (which also cuts tutoring and mock tests for us), and overall limits our educational opportunities. We need around 778,650 signatures to stop this bill so please sign.

By passing this law we are impeding the chances of most Floridian’s to get into good colleges. This also creates an education barrier between the rich and poor. Creating more uneducated voters, workers, and citizens who are easier to manipulate. This is unacceptable.

50%?? That’s ridiculous! They’re practically asking for kids to stop taking these higher leveled classes!

Please keep AP alive for the future of this country. Without it the education system will continue to fail students only because good education is behind a paywall not all students can access.

Please do not cut funding for AP courses and dual programs. It’s a disservice to young, bright minds throughout the state of Florida who are pursuing advanced learning programs.

This bill is aimed at hurting the futures of students and teachers and unnecessary. In the 90’s trade vocational schools and extra curricular activities were taken away and replaced with testing and only teaching to tests and year over you test scores, grades, and comprehension have suffered. Find somewhere else to take money from not teachers and kids that deserve a chance. Stop being so heartless.

The reason why I’m signing this petition is because this will cause those in a lower income not to be able to do what the American promise is, which is to be able to succeed no matter where you’re from

I highly disagree about paying 100 dollar for an AP exam
