I wished that I would have had the opportunity to learn another language when I was in school. I think it's a great program

The opportunity to learn a foreign language in the public school system is such an incredible opportunity for the participants in the program. Increased cognitive ability, more options for employment, an enhanced understanding of participants primary language, and an increased respect for other cultures. Terrific program!

My children love the chinese dual immersion program that they are in at Bloomington elementary school. They are doing well I would extremely disappointed if this program was no longer available to them. We plan on having all five of our children go through the program. Please keep this available to our children. My husband and I truly believe that this will have a hugely positive impact on their future as well as the future of our community and the world that they will eventually contribute to.

The Chinese immersion program is one of the reasons I relocated here from CA. What a wonderful benefit it is to our kids academically and culturally. If it isn't in the secondary schools I would move my children so they can continue their learning. Thank you to our administrators for putting it into our elementary schools and for being so progressive.
