Do not invade peaceful residential neighbourhoods with megaprojects of any kind. Do not even try.

A community garden there would be a beautiful use of the land for the community and planet!

There are so many other options available that would be a much better choice - how do you plan to handle the increased traffic ? Why not locate where there is better access (not just one way in one way out on a very narrow road) what are fire regulations for this type of venue and escape routes? So much to consider and so many other options available .

Totally wrong place for this sports field. Leave these people alone.

Let's organize a community garden on it!

Why not be considerate and let the residents of Brinkworthy Road retire in peace and quiet.

Reclaim land that has already been destroyed, such as the gravel pits between Cushion Lake and the Creekside Rainforest. Precious ALR land can never be restored and will grow in value exponentially in the years to come. Butchart Gardens was once a quarry, after all.

This is not the only land on our island wherein we can build a sports field...surely

The very fact that this project is still being considered and expenses are building up for assessments and planning PRIOR to consultation and approval by neighbouring residents is outrageous. The fact that the crd is overriding the feedback by the local Agricultural Advisory Commoittee and proceeding to the ALC is a sign of their contempt for due process

We need to keep all the good agricultural land in ALR. There are many other options available for recreation. Also it is not reasonable to have a ball field placed next to a retirement community, especially when the road access will be the same one that these same elderly people must use for access to their homes.

The opinion of the residents need to be listened to...if they don't want it, I don't want it either.

Kids need sports no question, but ALR land is needed, for production, not recreation for a portion of the year.

I very much support the Brinkworthy residents and the Agriculture community which affects all of us, to not rezone this land for invasive recreational use.

Maybe you think baseball is important but I think food and a peaceful life is more important

Please do not use this ALR land for recreation. Community gardens would be great or something like that. Brinkworthy residents would be aversely affected by noise and traffic. It would also affect resident's property values unfairly.

I do not support the logging of the property

ALR must be preserved for the future. Surely PARC can find another location for the ball fields.

let's keep the land ALR. We need to feed people more than we need organized sports!

Why choose to have these playing fields right next to the highest density senior complex on the whole island???

I feel CRD and PARC should be more energetic in seeking alternate possibilities.
