Support Argun Stationers against unlawful lease termination

As a local set designer and artist, Argon has been essential to my working practice for over a decade. They are not a luxury, but a necessity, providing not only stationery but essential printing services for local groups and businesses. They are fair, friendly and dedicated with an ability to respond to the needs of their community - attributes that can only be achieved by independent business owners with passion. The newly gentrified Hackney has become so because of its early influx of creatives and free thinkers and this kind of appalling action makes us increasingly unwelcome. A final point: we have all seen the completely un-successful attempts and introducing big brands to the area by way of gentrifying the area. We’re argon and other family run businesses thrive, we see a stones throw away a failed attempt at a Nike shop alongside a running shop fronts none of which opened in full and have now been boarded up for years. All this to say, new luxury based ideas for the lease are most likely doomed to failure all the while ousting a tried and tested business that has flourished for decades. I must not happen.
