A part of Hackney’s heritage & culture! It has served my friends and I for over 20years. There’s no one else providing such good services !!

Argun can’t go and they can’t be bullied out by externals seeking to make a fast buck ( literally)

Argun Printers have been part of my life in Hackney for as long as I can remember. They’ve always been there—whether for printing posters, flyers, or last-minute jobs—with kindness, patience and proper old-school service that’s so rare these days. Losing them after 33 years would be a real blow to the community. They’re more than a business; they’re neighbours who’ve helped countless local people and organisations. Please don’t let Hackney lose this piece of its heart.

Companies like Argun are essential for people who do not have their own printer.

Argun is a reason to love in Hackney. I would never use a facility that displaced it.

I have been using this shop since moving into the area 10 years ago. Always friendly and very helpful staff, and great prices for all your stationary needs.

Argun is my go-to place for anything stationary, art supplies and getting things printed. They have served the community for 30+ years. Would be a tragedy if they closed down.

Hackney councils must not permit this private equity company to take over this community amenity. The developer is not interested in communities, only in profit.

It’s a wonderful independent shop which should stay in the same location in Hackney Central!

An essential and well-stocked stationer, providing a wide range of day-to-day items for home, school and professional use. Exceptional and unique

A great shop with friendly and experience staff...it saved me many times when I needed good quality printing both for work and for family stuff.
It should remain as an community asset!

I was so shocked to hear that Argun Stationers are under threat of losing their lease. Small family business that serve the community so well should be supported. Hackney does not need another venue or large chain.

As a local set designer and artist, Argon has been essential to my working practice for over a decade. They are not a luxury, but a necessity, providing not only stationery but essential printing services for local groups and businesses. They are fair, friendly and dedicated with an ability to respond to the needs of their community - attributes that can only be achieved by independent business owners with passion.
The newly gentrified Hackney has become so because of its early influx of creatives and free thinkers and this kind of appalling action makes us increasingly unwelcome.
A final point: we have all seen the completely un-successful attempts and introducing big brands to the area by way of gentrifying the area. We’re argon and other family run businesses thrive, we see a stones throw away a failed attempt at a Nike shop alongside a running shop fronts none of which opened in full and have now been boarded up for years.
All this to say, new luxury based ideas for the lease are most likely doomed to failure all the while ousting a tried and tested business that has flourished for decades.
I must not happen.
