The daycare situation is Tottenham is extremely limited. We have two options available, and unfortunately even those are not easily attainable. One of them can only take children 14 months and older (making it even more difficult for those of us who have to go back to work when our babies are 12 months) and the other needs the child to be walking if they are accepted at 12 months. Hopefully if we are able to have another centre in Tottenham it will be possible to send our children once our maternity leave is over after a year!
I have been on the waitlist for my 3 children since September. This is absolutely ridiculous. I am forced to now take my children to daycare out of Tottenham, which takes away from putting money back into our local economy.
We definitely do as the two licensed childcares have no space
People need a licensed/safe place to bring their children!
More licensed daycare facilities are needed in the New Tecumseth area
We will be moving to the area at the end of April and are having the most difficult time finding care for our daughter. Another facility to accommodate the growing demand is very welcome as far as I'm concerned.

As a RECE at one of the daycares already in Tottenham I see the HUGE demand everyday! We get numerous phone calls on a daily basis and can only put names on a long wait list. Also as a new parent I see what a problem this is as well
