We paid an extra 1/2 tax for bike paths! The bike lane on manatee should be done under road maintenance!

Keep the initial route. A Manatee Ave route will result in deaths due to excessively speeding vehicles.

I'm surprised this hasn't been done before. It seems unusual for a town this size to not have extensive, safe bike and walking paths. As more development is allowed, they'll be more and more necessary to help mitigate traffic and keep citizens safe.

The old route was perfect, the proposed route on Manatee ave is literally insane.

Having the trail run alongside Manatee Avenue not only makes for an unpleasant bike ride (noise & breathing exhaust fumes), but a dangerous one. Please keep the original route.

We need to help improve Florida's title of being one of the states with the highest bicycle fatality rates. This revised plan will not do that! We need to make Florida bicycle friendly, as are other states. By sticking with the original plan, and if funding from other sources is available, this would take a big burden off of Manatee County. This makes common sense, folks, so let's stick with the original plan!
With these new bicycle trails, imagine the revenue that would be coming in to Bradenton and or Manatee County. Look at other cities in other states, how they have attracted Revenue, Greenville South Carolina for example.

Bradenton and Manatee County has a large and active group of cyclist who would welcome the opportunity to provide recommendations and guidance for trail systems of which they would be the primary users.

sending non-motorized traffic down manatee ave is all kinds of stupid. I encourage the county commissioners to ride it on a bike, just one time.
