Many other city have banned this type of restriction as violation to property owners rights. Free enterprise and economy will more than likely solve by itself.

When one purchases a property it comes with a bundle of rights and renting is one of those rights.

My property in Wildernest lost value due to the inability to short-term rent. I have always thought about local housing and now I'm paying the price for not short-term renting. My property has always been occupied by someone who works and lives in Summit County full-time. These regulations are unfair to me, my family, and other locals. As a long-time local who always provided housing for locals, I don't approve of the County taking away property rights.

The County Commissioners have financially destroyed many innocent people with their STR legislation. Even when asked for a valid exemption or approached for solutions, they didn't care about the damage they caused.

A few should not be allowed to destroy property values and discourage many to enjoy staying in Summit County! Getting rid of short term rentals will decrease the number of visitors enjoying Dillon & Summit County and of course will negatively impact business all over Summit County!
Think about all before you negatively impact all!

In my opinion, it is crushing permanent homeowners property values. My value has fallen and I am watching this happen all over the county. This was a decision made by a few--and adversely affecting us all. It must be repealed.

I recommend the BOCC spend as much time actually addressing the lack of affordable/workforce housing, rather than appeasing a very small percentage of the county's population that opposes STR?

Hello! I live in denver and frequent this area. I love to be able to stay in a short term rental for a few days so we can avoid the I-70 madness.
This is also an incredible way for homeowners to help cover expenses in our rapidly rising economy.
