Opposed to Summit County's Short-term Rental Regulations

No Restrictions. I like the comfort and options of a home rental. Why are you making less options for travelers!! Let people rent their homes!!

I do not want any limits on short term rentals!

Government is defining the winners and losers with STR caps. They will be creating even more inefficiencies in the marketplace through the caps.

Listen, I understand the issue with worker's housing issues, but Vail Associates and Summit County have known this forever and have never truly addressed it. You'd think a multi-billion dollar corporation and a county flush with visitor tax dollars could figure this out.

Stop regulating my Private Property!!

I am a Peak 7 homeowner for 13 years. I am opposed to Summit County's proposed STR regulations. I have never had any problem with any short-term rentals in my Peak 7 neighborhood. Many homeowners need short-term rentals to help pay their mortgage, utilities, snow plow, and other expenses.

I support preservation of homeowners right over personal agendas of the few.

We have been peak 7 homeowners for 15 years and have balanced long-term renting off and on, with creating family memories. We are now nearing retirement and would like to be able to enjoy our property more. This plan had included switching to short-term rentals in order to make things affordable. We have paid taxes for many years, while biding our time until we could utilize our home more. Where are our freedoms and rights?

As a home owner, paying my property tax in Summit County for 30 years, the restrictions on STR's in unincorporated areas should stay out of local government agendas.

The market should dictate the amount of STRs not a committee of 3 people. I support property rights without governmental regulations

I purchased a second home last March based only on the fact (at the time) that I was allowed to do STRs. Before I completed renovations that made the property rentable, the moratorium was passed without warning or with any graze period. I may now have to sell our dream mountain retreat. Seems un-American and a violation of my rights! The government overreached in anthoer state when they passed this type of regulation. They were taken to court and lost. When will this happen in Summit County?

Peak Seven should be designated a "resort zone".

There shouldn’t be restrictions on STR’s in unincorporated summit county.

I oppose this regulation as it takes away my property rights without putting a dent into the core issue of local housing.

How about privatizing transportation, instead of communizing our society. I am, obviously no expert, but I believe in freedom. Randall Einspahr
