Opposed to Summit County's Short-term Rental Regulations

Capping STRs is not the solution. Will do more harm than good. Capping STR is like capping number of customers our Beck businesses can have or serve. Capping STR reduces the amount of upper middle class that can purchase in Breck.....only wealthy will be able to carry the full cost of purchase without STR support.

As tax payers in Summit County, homeowners should have the full and final say regarding their properties and how they may or may not want to rent them.

It is amazing to me that people will dictate to homeowners what they can do with their properties, especially when they overpay for all of these, and are trying to subsidize mortgage payments by receiving rentals

In support to re-zone peak 7 and to have zero caps for nightly stays or licenses

This sure seems like taxation without representation. First, those property of us owners participating in short-term rentals help the county economically, bringing in visitors to Summit County who spend money at the ski resorts, restaurants, ski rentals, bike rentals, all supporting the local economy which certainly these days needs a boost. Why punish all these vibrant businesses by restricting the number of available rentals with such high taxes to discourage making short-term rental properties available. Why?

In a place that largely exists because of tourism, restricting tourism seems like a bad decision.

The new regulations are extremely short-sighted and will be to the detriment of all.

Short term rentals are not the problem to the housing issues. Short term renters bring business to local shops and restaurants.

I’m signing because the actions of our elected officials is extreme and over reaching, ignoring the majority of public input. And it’s hurting my property value as a 28 year resident of Summit County.

The STR regulations are a barrier to economic health in Breckenridge. Peak 7 has historically been a strong STR district, and limitations to use are unnecessary and against the history of the area, which should obviously be classified as part of the Resort Zone.

We can co-exist and work to improve pain points without tighter restriction.

No restrictions. Has government looked in to the lost revenue if short term rentals are no longer allowed or are very limited? Have they consulted with local merchants, restaurant owners, ski rental, bike rental businesses, etc? They will all lose a huge amount of revenue from travelers that can no longer find short term rentals in Breckenridge and all these businesses will suffer financially. If the purpose of these restrictions is due to a long term housing shortage, they need to come up with another solution. This proposal will hurt everyone in Breckenridge, not just the homeowners. If this proposal is adopted, we will need to sell our home.

We do not support the short term rental regulations in summit county, especially on peak 7 that has historically had a high level of 2nd or vacation homes that frequently were STR'd. Thank you

Please allow Peak 7 to have resort status. Our houses are spaced far apart. Rentals would not affect the neighborhood. Some of us depend on STR income to afford the house.

We have owned our home in Summit County on Peak 7 continuously since 1984 and have lived and worked there there at times. Two of our sons attended Summit HIgh School. We are currently absentee owners. The STR restrictions are poorly written, highly restrictive, and favor the thinking of a select and / or perhaps privileged few.

To much government control,you cannot designate my personal property.I am strongly against this
