My husband has ALS aka as Lou Gehrig's disease, in the UK this death sentence is called MND, there is no cure. There are not many bright moments living with ALS but we found a real life angel here on earth and his name is Stu Millheiser. Stu works tirelessly helping people with their last wishes, or much needed equipment, or helping to keep a roof over the head of a terminally ill ALS patient so they can keep their dignity, the list of help from this angel is endless. Stu does not have the luxury of a big organization such as the likes of "make a wish foundation" but he creates similar wishes on a shoestring budget and has brought happiness to many ALS patients through his dedicated work with ALSGA. I want to collect as many signatures as possible to nominate Stu Millheiser for a humanitarian award, it is time to acknowledge this amazing man for all he has done & is still doing for the ALS community.
