We'd like to help Carissa Haston, co-president of GPact and all around inspiration to chronic illness sufferers everywhere, get the livein treehouse of her bucket list dreams. We're hoping to petition Treehouse Masters to help make this happen.
Carissa Haston is an amazing lady who is co-president of a group called GPact. It is a nonprofit dedicated to advocacy and fundraising for people with Digestive Tract Paralysis related disorders, such as gastroparesis.
She has been faced with nearly insurmountable odds in the arena of her own health for the past decade. Yet she has constantly kept an amazing sense of humor and worked tirelessly to advocate for people with DTP issues and related illnesses, for very little personal benefit. Watching her treks through illnesses, and using the resources her group works to pull together and keep active, has been pivotal in the health journeys of many.
Recently, Carissa has not been doing great and posted a bucket list with just 3 items in it. #2 was: A live-in treehouse.
This seemed like it might be a job for the crew from the Animal Planet show Treehouse Masters! They go around the country making fabulous treehouses (including the occasional live-in) and doing it all with a lot of big hearted personality and focus on getting around just about every obstacle and finding creative, workable options.
With a strong show of support from you all, via signatures, helping get Carissa's wish to Animal Planet, we're hoping they might be just the people to help make a treehouse related dream for Carissa come true!
It is hard to think of many people who deserve something like this more than Carissa and her caregivers. She is inspirational, and has worked hard to pull together lifesaving resources for many. Please sign the petition to help her check this item off her bucket list.

Carissa is a great lady. In creating G-pact, she has helped many ppl thru since 2001. Prior to G-pact, ppl w motility disorders had little to no online support. Additionally, many health care professionals are not educated on motility disorders are they are considered a rare disease. But by creating g-pact, she has created a support network and brought attention to digestive motility disorders.
Carissa deserves for all the work she has done in helpig others find answers, support, connyections, friendsips, and a soft place to fall when no one else understands. She has accomplished tis when being very ill and hospitalized many times this year herself. There is no one more deserving of this than Carissa!!
Carissa has helped thousands of people who fight this horrible disease. I was at the end of my rope, not wanting to suffer any longer and found Carissa's organization. Carissa gave me the courage to fight gastroparesis. I am no longer on the couch waiting to die. Carissa deserves to be honored and I think checking a tree house off her bucket list would be perfect. Carissa is an angel on earth!
Carissa is one with a generous heart and values she believes and walks the talk. She is a survivor of 5 organ transplant. Although sick herself as well, she founded G-Pact which is a great educator and awareness org., helps when able with supplies, on top of research and polish involvement for research and other areas, and especially heart support for those with gp and related dx., often from her bed in the hospital. I was not told much when diagnosed, and somehow I found her. It has made all the difference. Please help her fulfill those wish.
as a parent of a teenage daughter with gastroparesis I know how much this dream would mean to Carissa please help make it happen :)
Carissa is very deserving of this! I love watching the show. They build some really cool tree houses!

Carissa is one of the most giving and yet selfless people I have ever come across in life...I can think of no one more deserving than her! G-PACT is an amazing organization that was born out of Carissa's want to help others, and in so many ways G-PACT has given our members hope, advocacy and a voice. I wish I could give Carissa sight, but alas I am not able to. If I cannot give her vision, at least I could be a part of giving her a treehouse!! Treehouse Masters, please consider doing this for our amazing Carissa!!!
