Mr. Rollfinke has left an impact on me not only as a student, but also as a person. He is the best math teacher I’ve had, and pushed me to build a new way of thinking by encouraging me and believing in me when other teachers have not. I am appalled by the fact that he will no longer be working at friends, and if I’m honest, it makes me (and my family) strongly question this school and it’s values.

Very amazing man. Friends would lose a remarkable teacher.

I am appalled to hear about this news. This is a teacher who has supported me when no one else thought I could pull through. From pre algebra in the 7th grade and my baseball ethic he has always believed in me. The thought of his absence is concerning to say the least. Brian Rollfinke has unbelievable value to the student body and community as a whole at the Friends School of Baltimore.

I loved mr rollfinkes teaching style he taught me geometry in seventh grade and I can honestly say that without his help I would not have gotten through that class. Aside from him being a good teacher, he is a good person, the father of one of my closest friends who has always been nice to me and my friends. I think that friends school did a terrible job handeling this situation and they should reconsider their decisions.

Ridiculous

Friends School would be sorely mistaken as well as at a huge loss if they continue with their original decision to let such a role model go from the community.

friends needs to get it together, i’m so disappointed in the school as of this moment. i never had him as a teacher, but when i shadowed twice he was very nice to me and everyone always told me great things about him. and to think i was talking to a mom at school of rock about taking her kids here and how great it was, now i’m not so sure. truly disappointed and upset

Mr. Rollfinke is one of FSB’s teachers that everyone knows is just great. He is very friendly, an excellent coach, and an amazing math teacher that cares for his students very much. I would be sad to see him go as he is one of my all time favorite teachers.

I don’t understand why he would potentially not come back but he is a great teacher and helps people with math.

Our family has been extremely fortunate to have Mr. Rollfinke as not only an excellent math teacher, but as a wonderful advisor.

He helped me a lot in math, I think it would be a shame if other students weren't given that chance.

I graduated Friends and did not personally have Mr. Rollfinke as a teacher but I had a class with his son. At my time at Friends, I heard everyone who came across Mr. Rollfinke or had a class with him gleam with joy every single time they spoke about him. For Friends to remain a strong and reliable institution, I think it would help to have Mr. Rollfinke stay at the school. From what I hear, he is an incredible teacher and coach and I have never once heard anyone say anything bad about him. I am jealous I was never able to be taught by him or coached by him, but I want the rest of the Friends School community to be able to interact with such an incredible person who really cares about the well-being of the students.
