Studying is hard, if you're not reading textbooks and writing essays you're doing online research, which takes up a lot of your time at university, this time is only elongated and made much more difficult if you are constantly having to reconnect to your internet or waiting for it to come back online.
I'm hoping if I can get enough people to agree and support this, I hope to email it to StudentCom so they can hopefully come and fix our troubles.
It is slowly getting worse and in some students rooms in the halls you can't even reach a connection other than Ethernet, that is sadly limited to devices with an Ethernet port.

I am gathering documented reports of specific connection failures from各个 residence halls to build a formal case for the service provider. Once I compile these logs I will submit them directly to the head of quality management at CableCom.

The current volume of support provides the leverage needed to escalate this issue beyond standard help desk tickets. I am now formalizing a letter to StudentCom management to request a technical audit of the network infrastructure in our residential halls.

Just provide something that is actually usable, your network agreement states you will provide 40mbps a second, in reality you don't even come close to that. I'm lucky to achieve any connection at all let alone what you claim.
Genuinely the worst wifi I've ever had to deal with. It takes me ten minutes just to connect a FaceTime call then it cuts out after 2 minutes, Facebook videos don't even load and it's pointless having Netflix because you can't watch it!
It is shocking I've come here with 20gb off internet data on my phone and I got about 10 left because the wifi is shockingly rubbish it just throws u out. We are paying all this money to live in and we are getting a rubbish wi fi
in my room the connection drops every minute making it impossible to do anything that requires a stable connection. i have purchased a phone contract because i gave up on using the wifi.
I don't even have a functioning Ethernet port in my room as the wires have been cut from the room divider which can't be fixed unless I move out or purchase a signal booster. I see this as stupid as I'm paying top money for premium accommodation n shouldn't fix this problem myself but the university should as its there fault for shredding the wires.
The wireless cuts out somewhat frequently and my phone has difficulty connecting to it from the other side of the room. My computer also loses connection when it is wired through the ethernet port, but that is a rarity

It's difficult being so far away from home and not being able to facetime or send a message on facebook, also I watch TV through the wifi which is limited and then of course finding timetables and assignments or emails from tutors which is all limited by the terrible wifi, it's unacceptable.
