Riverview Terrace, Indooroopilly has an overwhelming proportion of residential dwellings and apartment complexes but lacks adequate provisions for residential street parking.

Fluctuating availability of, and increased demand for parking spaces around business hours, Thursday evenings and weekends is evidence to the fact that the majority of on-street parking is utilised by park & ride train commuters and shopping centre patrons. 

In addition to shortfalls in availability as outlined above, significant portions of the kerb are designated "no standing", further raising the premium on the already limited areas of the street available for vehicle parking.

Whilst it is clear that 2P parking restrictions during business hours are necessary, given the proximity of commercial premises in Station Rd and surrounds, given the acutely residential nature of Riverview Terrace, we the residents respectfully request the introduction of a residential parking permit scheme, to provide verified residents of Riverview Terrace exemption from 2P restrictions.
