This makes sense as there is too much congestion when cars are parked on both sides of the street and parked cars are also an obstruction to children who are playing and biking in their neighbourhood.

Especially during the winter months! The snow gets built up and with cars on both sides it would be impossible to get a fire truck or other emergency vehicle through.
