Abby Brace helped create and pioneer various community organizations in the Arbor Hill Community. She help start The Albany County urban league, NAACP, The Albany County methadone clinic the Albany County lead poisoning screening clinic, the Saint peters family health clinic, capital District psychiatric Center, The Albany Boxing League, the south end drill team, the Sheridan hollow homeless network. She served as chairman of the West hill improvement and beautification committee, she was in active elected committee woman from the south end as well as the west end hill community of Albany for 16 years. She served as community political adviser to the late Judge Whalen, late Judge Keegan, and the late Judge Cheeseman. While these are just a few of her accomplishments there’s a lot more that she has done for her community and she deserves to have a street named after her .
