I am Stacey, a 35 year old resident of Washington D.C. In the year 1993, I tested positive to the AIDS virus. I later learned that my partner was aware of the fact that he had this disease. He was arrested but was only sentenced to probation. He is still a free man. How many others must fall victim before he is taken off the streets He should spend the rest of his life in prison. I still consider myself a strong, beautiful black woman, but I am constantly taking medication and visiting my doctor. It gets overwhelming.
I feel that people who knowingly transmit this disease should be punished severely. Please sign this petition to pass a law that would require mandatory life sentences for people who knowingly pass the AIDS virus.
thats attempted murder plain and simple. nobody should have the right to ruin someone elses life like that and walk away with a slap on the wrist. absolute justice needs to be served.
