I am Stacey, a 35 year old resident of Washington D.C. In the year 1993, I tested positive to the AIDS virus. I later learned that my partner was aware of the fact that he had this disease. He was arrested but was only sentenced to probation. He is still a free man. How many others must fall victim before he is taken off the streets He should spend the rest of his life in prison. I still consider myself a strong, beautiful black woman, but I am constantly taking medication and visiting my doctor. It gets overwhelming. I feel that people who knowingly transmit this disease should be punished severely. Please sign this petition to pass a law that would require mandatory life sentences for people who knowingly pass the AIDS virus.
