Dear goverment, you do realise that beyond Watford Gap we live in the modern age?. Therefore can we have a railway system fit for modern era?. And please no more hand me downs from the south either please?.

The existing road links in the North are horrendous. Rail links are a way forward.

Seriously need to stop giving all the money to the South and start working on the north especially the trainlines

Had to use this "service" 5 years ago & was absolutely appalled @ the overcrowding ...probably worse than the M62 ?

I use the Manchester-Leeds route everyday and improvements are needed urgently. This must have priority over Crossrail2. Otherwise the North will be the poor cousins again!

We need this project to take place because the existing infrastructure gets stretched to its absolute limit reguarly. It's passed its sell-by date, so the line needs investment to bring it up to standard.

I feel like I've been totally deceived by the Government's policy change on the Manchester - Leeds electrification. Before the election we were all led to believe this was going to happen to benefit the North. Ministers need to witness the completely inadequate service currently in operation.
