I had to look really hard to find this petition, and remember the phrase 'northern powercut' to find it; even then it was obscure. Shouldn't MEN make it more easily available?

Essential to have electrification to increase capacity and speed on the busiest route in the north providing connection between already electrified lines each side of the Pennines

Spending 10 times as much per Londoner compared with Northerners on Railways is a scandal - railways were invented Up North !

Once again north starved of investment in favour of London and South - East. How about reversing the investment, that is 10% for the South and 90% for the rest of the country. Also let us have the new rolling stock and the south have the refurbished stock - some hope!
