Make all schools a safe place for Children to be able to learn without fear.
We need stricter legislation and more consequences for Bullying that goes on in our school system. Bullies need to know that their are REAL consequences for their actions.
Many children commit Bullycide as a result of bullying, and let's not forget that the whole Columbine tragedy in Littleton, CO was a result of revenge the boys wanted to get because they were bullied.
Parents, let's not be afraid to speak up on behalf of our children, and the children of others. Bullying is NOT just something our kids go through as a "rite of passage" It is a serious crime and threat in our schools. In Chilton County Alabama alone in the last year has taken the lives of two young ladies who could not be bullied no more.
Officials, please look over the anti-bullying laws you have in place now and make sure that you have your bases covered. We as a State can not afford to loose more innocent children to bullying. Bullying is not a disease that we have no cure for. Bullying has a cure and we need you to help us take a stand for all of our children and stop bullying in it's tracks.
I want NO CHILD to have to suffer the pain of bullying.
Sincerely,
I have been spending my nights printing out your stories and reading every single comment about the pain these families are enduring. This weight is heavy but your words confirm that we cannot stay silent while our children are losing their lives. I am currently organizing these testimonies to present directly to our representatives so they finally see the human cost of their inaction.

Seeing this momentum grow brings me back to those two young ladies we lost and reminds me why I started this. Your engagement proves that we are no longer willing to accept this pain as a normal part of growing up.
