The Russian Federation of Equestrian Sport support many show jumping competitions a year and thousands of horses are mistreated during this. They are beaten relentlessly, their mouths and teeth fractured due to the unnecessary jerking from the rider's hands. They are all jerked at the mouth again and again, in some cases causing clonic convulsions due to the bit beating on the bars of the mouth where the trigomenal nerves are.
