UKC breeders... this petition is to ask that UKC stop allowing puppy buyers to change signed paper work and/or registration details on YOUR dog that you worked so hard to produce. Buyers are allowed to take you kennel prefix OFF that paper and your dog IF they tell UKC in an affidavit that they have permission... you will not be contacted, asked or notified of these changes. Please have a look at your temporary papers,,, it used to state "Any alterations (whiteout, crossout,erasures) will void this document". More recently the papers state "Any alterations (whiteout, crossout,erasures) will void this document AND require an affidavit form".... I am sure this change was to allow for honest errors BUT it now inadvertently allows people to cross out names, kennel prefixes etc,,, and claim it was an error despite YOUR signature. You, the breeder will have no input in these changes or decisions to allow said changes. We ask that UKC to please review this affidavit option and not allow ANY changes to signed papers without first contacting the breeder they have on record. We believe that is who should supply any authorisation to change ANY details on that registration application. Please add your name and a registration number of a UKC dog you may have.
