The current airport is perfectly adequate for most people's needs. Furthermore, those of us who purchased homes in the area did so with the complete awareness of the airport AS IT CURRENT EXISTS, not with more traffic, more pollution, more noise.

I do not want to hear bigger, noisier planes coming in and out in this area. Can't we have a location for just private planes to safely fly? Enough traffic congestion now!

Please do not turn our family community into an urban nightmare. I purchased in Carlsbad for its friendly and comfortable ambience with full knowledge of the SMALL airport. Please do not ruin our city by expanding the runway and creating noise and traffic and congestion into our idyllic town. Maintaining our Quality of Life is much more important than making a few extra $$$ for the government. It's one thing to buy into an area with a known air traffic pattern. It's quite another to have quality of life and property values diminished due to adding additional air traffic to established neighborhoods.
