We need the City of Carlsbad Council members ,the Carlsbad City Law, and the San Diego County Board of Supervisors to safeguard basic Carlsbad Residents' rights. Specifically, * That the McClellan-Palomar Airport be retained in its status as a small aviation airport with NO runway expansion, to protect the safety of the surrounding communities. * That takeoff/landing patterns which minimize noise impact on residential neighborhoods and schools be strictly enforced by the FAA and mandatory quiet hours be implemented between 10pm and 6am. * Preserve the current Carlsbad City Law which protects the health and quality of life of Carlsbad and surrounding communities. We need good faith efforts to begin to be provided to Residents. Up to now all good faith efforts have been for the McClellan-Palomar Airport stakeholders.

Ridiculously high levels of noise with jets taking off to the west and private propeller driven planes buzzing over our houses under 500 ft; altitude in south Carlsbad.

Living, literally, beneath the flight path of the majority of landings, one going over head now and seeing and knowing what we have to sweep and wipe down on a daily basis, is a major chore. Since we moved here 6 years ago my wife has developed Breast Cancer. Is that a direct result of the fly-overs, maybe? The pollution, black dust, not sandy coloured, is a contributing factor. It would be better for all of us if there were no planes flying over our community or developing a method of landing with the wind as against. No extensions or developments and it may prevent someone else getting CANCER.

We need to make sure that the noise level produced by planes using the airport is kept at a safe and sane decibel level.

When the choppers fly low the dog goes berserk. She knows the sound of helicopters and planes below 500 feet. AND SO DO WE.

Pls....no expansion of Palomar Airport. Planes already fly over areas that they were told to not fky over and it happens daily. The noise is so loud that you can't hear others talking to you.

Absolutely ridiculous to have planes fly over 300 to 400 ft over our homes at 1:30 and 5:00am when even Lindbergh field downtown has a curfew no takeoffs before 7am and no landings after 12 midnight

We live in Carlsbad now because we last lived in Point Loma. It is so noisy from airplanes that you can’t live a normal life there. We don’t want Carlsbad to become Point Loma.

I live in San Marcos, Palomar Estates and I hear planes going over here all the time. I do not want a more expanded airport. Thank you

I see so many planes flying low near homes and are really loud at really late hours (>1am ) Completely agree with this petition. This needs to stop and some form to enforce mandatory quiet hours would be great.

Common sense rules regarding the airport are an absolute necessity here. There is not a single unreasonable request being made.

Our household is against any expansion of the airport in the amount of air traffic, size of aircraft and frequency or incoming, outgoing or training flights.

Palomar is a great, small, local airport and being in such a densely populated location should remain as such. The noise can be really awful now and to enlarge it would really be worse thus devaluing and compromising the quality of life there.
