As few planes utilizing Palomar Airport fly on the voluntary route, west to the ocean on Palomar Airport Road, expanding the airport will not serve the community in an environmentally safe way…. It is time to enforce the voluntary route, NOT expand the airport!!!

The Palomar Airport is barely tolerable as it is! We do NOT to see any expansion of the airport runway or it's operations. The people who promote this expansion, most likely do not live around the airport in Carlsbad, nor do they consider or care about the impact upon local residents. The question that we ourselves who live in Carlsbad must ask, is, do we want our area to remain a beautiful and peaceful resort community or turn it into an industrial playground?

The number of jets and other small aircraft has gotten kind of ridiculous. The level of consistent noise is a boon to surrounding neighborhoods.

As a long time resident of Carlsbad, I am concerned that the Palomar Airport will expand, thus increasing pollution (noise and chemical) pollution to our town.
I want this airport to remain as a small aviation airport and the runway to remain the same length. The airport is located over a landfill and there are better airports to use if considering growth for the area.

I do not want the danger, pollution and noise that would exist with an expanded airport.

Agree that expansion of the airport should be stopped. Noise and bravado of some pilots flying over us at low altitude to turn is intolerable!

for decades Carlsbad citizens have been concerned about airport expansion. As such the City created land use plans/ordinances to maintain city/airport compatibility by keeping Palomar Airport a general aviation airport. Even though we live 'outside' of the airport impact area we regularly have low flying helicopters/planes using a short-cut route over our home. We have even had illegal aircraft operations at Ponto that brought manned-powered aircraft flying less than 100' over our homes instead of using Palomar Airport as required. The City Council and City staff should follow the letter and spirit of the long-term Citizen desires and City Ordinance that requires Citizens to vote if any expansion of Palomar Airport facilities is proposed.

Please enforce quiet hours at least from midnight till 6 a.m, since some planes are taking off around 1 a.m and waking us from our sleep.
