We don't want another John Wayne Airport destroying our beautiful coastline.
With a warehouse nearby and a longer runway, we'll be that airport FedEx and Amazon turn to when they can't land at night at John Wayne Airport.
Fun Fact: John Wayne airport was grandfathered in and allowed to create a no-night landings rule.
Carlsbad will NEVER be allowed that same privilege.
So when it absolutely, positively needs to be there? Carlsbad, open 24/7, will be the airport of choice ... all night long.

The airport should not be expanded in any way! Pilots constantly turn early and climb aggressively over communities, which exacerbates the annoying engine noise. Flight schools are the worst contributors to the noise and frequency. Absolutely NO expansion of McClellan-Palomar!

Tired of noisy planes flying over my house and not adhering to flight path over Palomar Airport Rd. Some have emptied their toilets before landing on residential neighborhoods. Hard to tell, but when we resurfaced our pool, we saw the brown spots after a plane flew overhead. Disgusting.

There is virtually no adherence to the voluntary quiet hours or suggested flight paths for departures/arrivals. The flight schools and private jets regularly fly over heavily populated areas, including schools (Aviara Oaks Elem, Aviara Oaks Middle), preschools, day care centers and churches.

We can’t take the flyover increase that would happen if you expand. There is too much already and not obeying the times.
