John McCain and Sarah Palin: As honorable citizens of the USA - Democrats, Rebublicans, and Independents - we implore you to denounce the violent, racist, and hate-filled comments that have been heard recently at your campaign events. Stop questioning the patriotism of other Americans, and stop inciting hatred. Our economy is in trouble - we fear for our jobs and our long-term financial security. Enough of the smear tactics! You promised America that you would run a respectable campaign and conduct yourself with honor. We implore you to publicly denounce the cries such as "terrorist!" and "kill him!" that we are all hearing on the news. John and Sarah, if you really care about this country, join the rest of us in trying to be uniters, not dividers. (I plan on sending the results of this petition to both campaigns as well as all of the major media and news outlets - assuming there are enough signatures)
