This petition is in place to have a traffic light placed at the intersection of East Locust and Belle Ave (South of Locust) in Davenport IA. Belle Ave is used as a main street by a large amount of vehicles to get to and from the east village (mainly the Kwikstop) and events that take place in the east village.This intersection is also a bus stop and should have a cross walk associated. Exiting Belle ave and entering locust (going east or west) proves to be very dangerous due to vision obstructions which are both permanent (retaining walls) and seasonal (snow accumulations which is both natural and by snowplow) and this needs to be addressed!

This intersection is always been a challenge it definitely requires a couple of looks to be sure if you can make it or not I have seen a couple accidents here and the winters are not easy to get out the snow piles up and you can't see past sometimes you have to open the door on your car and stand up to Lookout around pretty ridiculous!!!
