I have been reading through the deeply personal stories left in the comments and it confirms why I started this fight. Watching our civic symbols be co-opted while our concerns are ignored motivates me to push harder for accountability.

Enough is enough. Keep our holidays for us. This is becoming a total joke in our own country.
TRULY DISGUSTED. The building should only shine for our country not for an ideology that hates us.
Totally agree. Stop changing everything to fit everyone else. Stick to American roots.
Why are they celebrating this? Its like they dont even care about our traditions anymore. Sad times.
Sick of seeing this constant pandering. Politicians need to wake up and start representing the people who actually built this nation.
