The budget cuts have been officially halted and our fire stations are staying open. We achieved this because people refused to back down when the pressure was on. Keep watching the local council closely to ensure they honor this commitment.

Final supporters
The budget plans are designed to save £4.7 million over the next 3 years, however cutting frontline emergency cover is totally unacceptable.
We want the Government to stop the cuts affecting Fire Station closures & Pump removals in Herefordshire & Worcestershire.
HW Fire & Rescue Consultation period finishes on 10th January 2014. In order to get your signatures to them in time closing date is 31st December 2013.

Its takes 5-6 mins for bewdley to turn out if both kiddy pumps are out and stourport are off the run next pump would be bromsgrove which can be 20 mins on blue lights if u have a house fire you May aswell stand outside your house and watch it burn.
Losing a weekly bin collection or not having the streets swept is one thing but losing our fire service is something all together different. Lives are at stake here and it could be yours.
As a disabled person living independently I would not feel safe if they were to close broadway fire station. To the point where I may even consider moving away from the village that I have lived in for over thirty years.
By making these cuts you are putting lifes at risk my local fire station is tenbury wells which is run by retained fire fighters and they do a fantastic job and to loose a engine here would drastic for us and the surrounding areas
It would be suicide if we lost Bewdley Fire Station. We live about 2 miles out of Bedley on the Severn quite remote. If the fire crews had to travel from Kidderminster it would be too late to save us. The SVR also need the fire crews to be handy.
Thank you for all the good work you have done for the last 107 years! It is a disgrace a fire station closing in this day and age. We need more protection not less! Thank you.

Closing Broadway Fire Station would be an act of great negligence. The crew offer a valuable irreplaceable service that cannot be covered by one of the pumps from Evesham which at best will take 20 minutes longer to get to an incident.
