500 million?? That is insane when our kids are in overcrowded classrooms. Fix the schools first.
Enough is enough. The city needs to stop treating brooklyn like their own personal dumping ground for jails.
We already have too many people packed into this neighborhood. A giant jail in the middle of all these families is just a terrible idea. Put a school there instead.
My kids walk down atlantic every day. Putting a massive detention center there is not what our community needs right now.
Ridiculous to spend all this tax money on a prison when we need housing so bad. Keep it out of Boerum Hill.
