To demonize all charter schools is ridiculous. Let's not thrown the baby out with the bath water. Yes the public schools need more support but outlawing charter schools does not fix the problem.

Parents have the right to send their children to schools that educate their children. Charter schools are inclusive, better run and out to give all children the best education available.

Our charter school has been the saving grace for my children, and the children of many others who otherwise would not have access to a quality education. I'm not putting down other schools, but what's the issue if kids are thriving. Does anything really matter but the kids? Let's all be sensible and caring folks, just like we were taught.

The charter school my daughter attends is very organized, diverse and loved by everyone (including the surrounding community) Don't let the government take away school choice!

There's already so much misinformation on charter school in CA. They do have accountability (financial and educational) through their individual charter. Students take state testing each year and many will also do the same benchmarking tests. Public MUST follow ED CODE! Charters also must except ALL students! They cannot skim the top to find the best students. I've been involved as a parent in several charters and know these to be true. I would not send my child to my neighborhood school because it's FULL. I want my children to get an education that they have attention and smaller classroom.

Charter schools are not a threat to anyone. We have strict rules dictated by our district that we follow to a T. Please stop picking on us and leave us alone.
