You've got the wrong measure number listed. We want to stop measure 1774 which is the number in the notice. Not 1744. Need to make that correction quick!!

You cannot lump all charters together. If one is not working close it, not all the charters, many children thrive and flourish with charters.

Closing public charter schools is a crazy idea! Just say no to this terrible proposal!

My home public school is in the lowest performing 3% of California. Charters are the only way for us to get a public education and the diversity in our school is not only racial, and cultural. We have socio-economic diversity, financial diversity, religious diversity. Our school LOOKS like Los Angeles. Help keep it alive!

Charter schools like the one my children attend are the most positive influence into my children's lives I could possibly want! The public school system is broken and unfixable. This is a fantastic alternative

California Charter schools are VITAL to the success of a major portion of California children. One size does NOT fit all. All children do NOT have the same learning style. California Charter Schools are very successful and the initiative to close them all is a selfish money grab. I urge you to keep our charters and shut down this ridiculous initiative to close them.

Parents want choices. Let the funding follow the student. Parents will determine whether their charter school is performing up to par for their child or not. Not everyone cares about top scores on standardized tests. And not everyone feels that test scores should be the primary determinate of a school's worth. Let parents show their support of their school by choosing to enroll there or not.

Please consider the impact that closing charter schools will have on so many children! As a parent and educator, I know that children need options in education in order to meet their diverse needs. The Da Vinci Schools have inspired, nurtured and taught my child to be the confident, successful student that she is. Have you considered the negative impact on non-charter schools if all charter kids were to transition back in? What about the emotional impact on kids and families who are deeply entrenched and devoted to their respective charter schools? Please allow us to parent and choose educational options for our kids as we see fit.
