This is the 4th year that my 2 boys have been attending OPA SOC. Both boys have received an outstanding education and have thrived in this charter school. My teen wants to continue onto a charter high school because he feels more comfortable and safe in a smaller school environment. We are so grateful to have a school choice!

My kids are thriving in the charter school environment. It would be devastating to my children's education to be forced to leave and go back to the neighborhood school we're supposed to be at. It was a horrible experience! Parents should have the CHOICE of where and how our children are educated!

Closing charter schools is a step backward not a step forward in education. With all the good the charter schools have done for both teachers and students, it's obvious that this proposal has a political agenda and has no real backing.

Please know not all children learn the same way. I have witnessed so many children be successful attending charter schools or other alternative education schools. Forget about the financial side and do what is in the best interest of the child.

It would be a travesty if charter schools are eliminated. Recent reports have revealed that students who come from lower-income families or students who are English language learners have higher success and performance rates in charter schools than their public school counterparts. Therefore, in order to best assist the students in underserved areas, charter schools are a necessity.

Charter schools are a necessity to teach children how to THINK, not just memorize the socialist indoctorination they receive in regular public schools. (rote learning)
Charter school students ar beating public school students in many, if not all area of academia. Suck it up, Public schools and RAISE your standards. The kids will meeet or exceed those standards.
Sacramento needs to stop dictating how we can live our lives. In terms of personal freedom in the various states, California ranks 48th.
With respect to Charter Schools, one caveat: Fettulah Gulen, an Islamic "refugee", whos come up with ome 25 billion dollars and is buying up charter schools all over the country. He has also replaced American teacherrs with Islamic teachers an the FBI has finally decided to investigate him. Gulen embeds himself in the U.S. education system to indoctorinate children. But, don't take my wowrd for it. Research it for yourself. We have been invaded and we are losing.

Please keep the charter schools available to many. I noticed that my daughter takes ownership of her education and is more engaged and challenged in several different studies offer by the charter school than traditional, rote large public school programs.

My family and I love charter schools, they help provide some of the social activities that my children may not have otherwise have tried. I love the freedom of choice that charters provide to my family and other families alike.
