Signing to keep charter schools going and open!

Traditional school doesn't work for all kids.

This is a State Grab of our children to controll their minds and hearts for Liberalization and steal Americas Freedom from within,

Public schools suck. That covers my opinion on the subject. Also: my child shouldn't be forced into one when I have a good charter school alternative.

Save our Schools, I want the choice

The creation of charter schools was an idea that's time had come. We are a nation of freedom and choice. Let's not take a huge step backwards. That would be a monumental mistake.

Shifting money from charter schools, that are doing something right if there are waitlists and lotteries to get in, to public schools doesn't serve children or fix what is wrong in public schools.

Do not close charter schools!

Keep charter schools around, pubic school isnt the best thing for every kid, some children need school thats a bit different.

With my sons, I have experienced different learning styles and needs in education. Not every child can fit into a "one size fits all" education. I believe charter schools can give students who have different learning styles, strengths and skills the opportunities needed to succeed. I believe in charter schools and want other families to have the opportunity to benefit from them as well.

My child struggled all through school until we found a charter program. Now she is finally thriving! It would be an educational disservice to her and many like her to yank the rug out from under them. Children find success in many different ways, not just the one size fits all box of traditional public school. The real discrimination is against children who do not learn in a typical classroom setting.

This cannot pass! Parents should have the right to choose the best education for their child. As a result, this country will get more highly educated individuals.

Stop taking our choices away as parents. The government can't handle the public school system as it is.

My son struggled majorly in public school. If I hadn't found the Montessori charter school he's now going to, he'd still be getting picked on and labeled as a bad child. If you close down his school you're taking away his chance of succeeding in school and getting the kind of education he needs.

Seriously Sate of California? Supposedly most liberal state in the union standing for freedom of religion and the constitution. Try holding it once in awhile instead of stripping the rights of your citizens away because you're money and power hungry.

If I hadn't homeschooled my daughter for 8 years, she may have not recovered. She had no immune system and the amount of germs at school was killing her. It only improved when she was able to stay healthy and homeschool. We were able to get completely caught up with school, because as you know, you need to be well to be able to use your brain probably. Home hospital from the school did not work for us at all, we worked with the public school system for 3 years and had to start all over. I highly recommend homeschooling it was a life saver! My children are thriving in their non-profit, public Montessori charter school. The list of grievances against charter schools are completely the opposite of our experience.

Start to pay more attention to great education! California public schools are so behind the nation not to metion compare to the rest of the word!
