We, the undersigned, oppose the widening of KY State Rd 1932, Chenoweth Lane between Shelbyville Rd and Brownsboro Rd.
We do not believe this action is necessary. Improvements have already been made at the intersection of Chenoweth Lane/Shelbyville Rd/Westport Rd, that have been very successful at decreasing traffic down Chenoweth Lane with little impact on the quality of life of our neighborhoods.
We believe this proposed widening would have a negative impact on the quality of life that we enjoy in our neighborhoods.
Chenoweth Lane is not just a traffice corridor connecting Shelbyville Rd with Brownsboro Rd. It is a part of our neighborhood where people walk, jog, ride bicycles and visit neighbors. Widening this road would increase traffic which would increase air pollution, noise pollution, traffic accidents and would decrease the property values of many of the homeowners that live on or near Chenoweth Lane.

Widening Chenoweth Lane is a real bad idea for many reasons; removal of too many trees, reduction of front yards along both sides of the street, increased traffic, safety issues for pedestrians, bicyclist due to faster, heavier traffic. Serious waste of money b/c accident data on Chenoweth Lane does not support widening.

Please do NOT widen Chenoweth lane.
Chenoweth is never crowded, rarely slowed by traffic and a neighborhood street. Widening will attract more traffic, increase speeds and reduce speeding. It will ALSO ADVERSELY AFFECT PROPERTY VALUES FOR ADJACENT LANDOWNERS.
I was shocked to learn that Chenoweth Lane is being targeted as a high traffic problem area. I've never experienced a traffic jam on this street since I've lived in the area. There are so many other roads in the neighborhood that need attention before we ever need to waste our time thinking about improving traffic flow on Chenoweth. Again, I am nothing short of shocked that this is even being considered. The only traffic problem on this, and many, streets in St Matthews is the occasional train. However, unless we plan on building a bridge or digging a tunnel it's just something we'll have to deal with.
I do not believe the widening of Chenoweth Lane will help at all! It will make our neighborhood have more traffic and not safe for our families and pets. It would have the neighborhood we love so much loose everything that makes everyone want to live here! Walking our dogs, riding bikes, and children playing There are enough expansions Does not make sense! Brownsboro big enough so is Shelbyville road etc. Oppose !

I am against the widening of Chenoweth - I don't believe it's necessary and believe the widening of the road will take away space for those who enjoy the sidewalks for walking, jogging, and bike riding.
