A disgrace. It's pathetic, we have had issues in Coggeshall with a proposal to build houses. When asked and questioned, the developers never live in the area that they wish to build on. No thought whatsoever on schools, doctors, road access and safety. It's disgusting. 20k houses here would be a disaster.

The current road and rail infrastructure just couldn't cope with the number of new people and cars a development on this scale would bring to the area.

This is an outrageous idea. Just one of the many reasons this would not work is the A 12 which cannot cope with current traffic flow. I was unaware of this proposal and find it hard to believe, it is so wrong.

the a120 bypass was shelved a few years ago due to lack of funds, not lack of necessity. Cars will swarm upon chappel, and villages such as coggeshall and Chappel earls Colne will suffer the effects of people trying to avoid the already predictable bottleneck and lengthy queues of the a120 at Braintree and marks tey. These little 30mph roads are already at capacity and will grind to a halt with the influx of more traffic.

A new town should be just that, a New Town, with all the amenities and new infrastructure to support it, not a new town at the destruction of Old small villages/towns and the loss of much needed farmland and open countryside.

This part of Essex lacks the infrastructure to support such development and I don't suppose the builders will be stumping up to provide the extra medical, schools and transport improvements needed to maintain our current quality of life which is already stretched beyond capacity in many areas.

The infrastructure is just not there to support these extra houses. When all the land is built on where are we going to grow our food, the forecasters are already saying we're in trouble?!!!! Leave our farmland alone & start growing our own produce!!

The road and rail are full enough already and the doctors surgeries are full and I am sorry I don't believe they will also build infrastructure!

Let's just keep the area as is, no one wants this kind of development so take it else where. Why should everyone suffer for the greed of the few!

The development of every open space and the continual urban sprawl needs to stop. Open space is imperative, if development continues at this rate there will be nothing left. We do not have the services and facilities to continue to develop the area at this rate.

Do not ruin our countryside with a development the infrastructure cannot cope with. It's ludicrous
