The roads can't take extra traffic , hospitals GP s won't cope schools , trains buses we are a village not a town

Absolutely crazy idea. Why cant the council see what we can all see. Our roads are full to bursting point. No money to upgrade A120 ! So, how can they do this ?

To create such a vast development where road and rail infer structure in not sufficient is ridiculous. Where would these residents work? How would they get there, how many schools, doctors etc would it need. We do not need or want such a massive development, a limited amount of new housing is acceptable, this is not

20,000 homes that equates to about 40,000 cars let alone HGV's. Obviously someone is thinking of money not quality of life.

My wife and I chose tol ive over 20 years ago in the quite and friendly village of Great Tey. We love the quite and rural nature of the area and DO NOT want it spoilt by the ever increasing need by councils to build, build, build all over our lovely landscape. This may sound radical, but focus on population reduction rather than housing increase and urban sprawl!

Mega developments such as that proposed are doomed to produce soulless living so why blight an area with so many beautiful existing villages for so little benefit. The current infrastructure is already inadequate and this would produce intolerable pressures.

I live near Great Tey and to have so many new houses near Marks Tey should not be allowed and more smaller sites should be considered instead

'Planning' needs consideration, not a knee-jerk response to the current housing situation. Please review.
Makes more sense to spread homes out as local government services will struggle with school places, policing, etc.

The existing infra structure is insufficient to support such a large increase in development. Roads and railways are already oversubscribed. The overdevelopment of this area will ruin the local environment and countryside. We have already seen how Colchester has been ruined by its overdevelopment and lack of amenity. Don't let this happen to our towns and villages.

If we wanted to live in a major town, we'd have moved into one instead of a small rural village.
Local infrastructure is already bending under the strain of current use.
This is lazy and ill-thought planning. Why are brownfield sites not a priority? Also, why not fill all empty properties first before building on farmland?Urban sprawl would destroy the entire nature of this lovely corner of Essex. Are they trying to turn the whole of Essex into a giant Basildon?
If it's a question of building on available space, will we see inappropriate development in areas with lots of space but very big properties and very wealthy residents? Somehow I doubt it.
