I will echo comments about how light pollution from this development will impact on the astronomical society's dark site. An ill thought out plan with a lack of supporting infrastructure.

There is no way Essex can cope with another town this size. Surely you can see this is a terrible idea

We have our long established observatory not far from here and the light pollution will be terrible. www.neas.me.uk

The introduction of so many houses and a massive increase in light pollution will ruin a long established and notable astronomical society. It must be stopped before the dark skies are no more.

As chairman of the North Essex Astronomical Society, this development would destroy the dark site where our observatory is based. We, as a well connected society, will fight this all the way.

Too many cars and people already trying to use this ridiculously busy stretch, need a serious road restructuring plan before any new houses are built! I live about 100 yards from the a120 and because it us do just I have to drive all the way through coggeshsll to join the road at yet other end of the village as a right turn is impossible! Ridiculous!

I realise we as a nation need more housing but this development has not been thought through. It will introduce more problems than it solves.

This development will blight our beautiful countryside and cause traffic gridlock. Our infrastructure just won't be able to cope and people's quality of lives will suffer. Growth at any expense is not worth pursuing.

We do not need a new town when what we really need is better schools, doctors surgery and less traffic on a120 as this is a very busy and only access to stansted airport, coggelshall , Braintree etc.

Not needed - not the right place - not enough existing infrastructure, it will ruin the area. Too big, too many and too much.

Have the planners considered the infrastructure, doctors, schools apart from the absolute chaos already on the A120. Marks Tey station cannot cope with commuter parking now! It is absolute madness to even consider it.

the whole road system in the area would have to be enlarged and redesigned.- and what about schools, hospital, doctor's surgeries?
Not on my door step
This is just wrong.
